The TL;DR version is: my website was hacked and I was unable to get it back.
The full story
To my shock and horror at the beginning of June I discovered the old Dorothy Porker had been hacked.
After days of trying (and honestly a variety of panic attacks and crying) unfortunately I’ve had to give up trying to salvage the existing website under the old domain name and have had to move to a new domain name and a new hosting provider.
What this means
This means I have to re-install all my old settings and preferences. Most of which has been done today and have to manually re-post all my old content, that I managed to save in a Word file. There were 77 posts up on the old domain so excuse me if this takes me a while.
I am a stubborn asshole and I’d love to pummel through, but I have to be mindful of my health and also try and finish my book (lol) while I fix this. I hope you can all bear with me and be patient for the recipes to return.
Bigger, better, easier to use
As I am reposting the recipes I will also tweak them to make them as user friendly as possible.
User data is safe because there was none
Finally, rest assured that, as I was not gathering any user data, visitor data should all be safe. This new domain is better secured against hacks.
If you could be so kind as to click through all the new posts and stay a while that would really help getting my Google ranking back up.
